Not many surprises emerged from a budget whose detail was relentlessly leaked over the preceding days before being accidentally released in full before the chancellor even had the chance to stand up in the commons.
IHT was largely left alone, having taken a battering this time last year, as was CGT, with the brunt of the expected tax increases being borne by the “non-workers”: savers, landlords and investors.
In our usual “Top 10” we cover these and the “smorgasbord” of other measures that we have dissected from the Budget, which we think are of most relevance to our clients and professional contacts.
We hope you enjoy reading, and if there are any tax topics covered here or in general that you would like to discuss please get in touch with your usual contact.
You can use this form to request us to give you a call or if you prefer just leave us a message. Please be sure to leave us a contact number or email address for you and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
